Dr. Sid Jackson Jr, MS,PHR, CCP
Dr. Sid Jackson Jr., MS, PHR, CCP, is a mental health advocate, executive leader, international speaker, and founder of Therapy is B.A.E. (Before Anything Else), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting mental and emotional wellness through community engagement, education, advocacy, and transformative experiences.

Drawing from both personal experiences and professional leadership, Dr. Jackson is passionate about creating safe spaces that encourage healing, authentic conversations, personal growth, and meaningful connections. Through Therapy is B.A.E., he leads initiatives focused on breaking mental health stigmas, empowering communities, and providing accessible resources that support overall well-being.

With more than two decades of leadership experience, Dr. Jackson combines his background in business, human resources, coaching, and community advocacy to inspire individuals and organizations to prioritize wellness, self-awareness, and intentional growth. His work continues to impact audiences through speaking engagements, mentorship, workshops, and community-centered programming designed to help people thrive personally and professionally.

Mental Health and Justice Reform Advocate
Dr. Lauren Norris, MCJ, EdD
Lauren Naraine-Norris holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Management and has extensive experience in law enforcement. She is deeply committed to making a difference within her community, with a particular focus on advocacy for mental health awareness. Drawing on her background in the criminal justice system, she understands the critical intersection between law enforcement and mental health. Lauren is dedicated to promoting mental health education, reducing stigma, and fostering a more compassionate approach to addressing mental health issues in both the justice system and the broader community. Through advocacy, she aims to drive reform and improve mental health resources and support for those in need.

President & CEO: I AM International, Inc.
Dr. Curtis Jasper
Dr. Curt is a psychologist, human behavior specialist, and ordained minister with over 30 years of experience in counseling, education, and consulting. Known for his culturally-based therapeutic approaches, he specializes in addressing mental health, emotional men’s issues. Based in Atlanta, he is a sought-after keynote speaker, corporate consultant, and media contributor, having worked with organizations like Microsoft, Hyundai, and My Brother’s Keeper. A TEDx speaker and recipient of the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Dr. Curt holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and serves as the Executive Director of I AM International, Inc.

Founder & CEO: Love from Afar
Dr. Cynthia Williams
Dr. Cynthia Williams, founder of Love From Afar and P.A.D.D. (Parents Against Distracted Driving), is dedicated to helping individuals heal from grief, trauma, and adversity. A triple author, her works include Concrete Soil, After My Daddy Left, and What’s in YOUR Lemonade? Dr. Cynthia holds doctoral degrees in Humanities and Social Justice and has received numerous honors, including the President's Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Apex Museum's Women in History Wall. With a mission rooted in love, ethics, and unity, she inspires others with her motto, “You are better Healed than Unhealed.”

Jermail Shelton
Jermail Shelton is the founder of the Undugu Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating safe spaces for men of color to engage in open, judgment-free conversations on masculinity and emotional growth. Through programs like Undugu Speaks and Chop It Up, he fosters connection, respect, and personal development. Jermail also co-owns Add Honey, a loose-leaf tea company in Atlanta, where he extends his passion for community by crafting welcoming spaces for gathering and connection. A devoted husband and father of three, Jermail is committed to empowering others and building meaningful relationships in every aspect of life.

Founder & CEO: JustUs MH, Foundation
Dr. Camilia Harris
Camillia Harris is the founder of justUs MH Foundation and a passionate mental health advocate. After losing her father to a murder-suicide in 2019, she channeled her grief into creating impactful mental health initiatives, including the Black Men’s Mental Health Conference, a traveling event addressing mental health in Black communities. With over 22 years of experience in healthcare IT and communications, Camillia is dedicated to bridging gaps in mental health resources, reducing stigma, and fostering global awareness. A published author and speaker, she continues to inspire change through advocacy, education, and community-driven solutions.

Founder & CEO: DL Handy Foundation
Lamar Handy
Dennis Lamar Handy, founder of The DL Handy Foundation, is dedicated to empowering communities through volunteerism, scholarships, and philanthropy. Focused on mental health awareness, his foundation has raised thousands for causes like childhood cancer research and services for individuals with mental disorders. A Senior Financial Analyst at Emory University and part-time educator at Atlanta Technical College, Dennis holds degrees in Business and Funeral Service. Honored as a 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, he is also active in Kappa Alpha Psi and GFSPA. He lives by the motto, “No dream is too big to achieve.”
Therapy is BAE a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds go towards furthering our mission of providing mental health advocacy, education, and culturally competent resources in our communities.
